Hi! My name is Rebecca Roy and I am a Manchester based poet whose work explores themes of gender, identity and family in the 21st century – at least when I’m not writing love poems about space travel or professional wrestling.
I have headlined multiple nights on the North West spoken word scene, including the highly acclaimed Punk in Drublic and Evidently. I also opened the main stage on the Saturday at Blue Dot festival in 2019, which technically means I’ve opened for Kraftwerk and New Order. My publication credits include Tŷ Celf and Riggwelter Press and I have performed at arts festivals and slams across the country.
My favourite astronaut is Michael Collins.
